The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Federal Relations fosters an environment in which research, creative, and service activities flourish. We develop and maintain organizational arrangements and sound policies which meet the needs of our scholars, provide support that furthers their professional development, help them secure funding, assist with project administration, and represent their interests within and outside of the University.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Federal Relations is committed to scholarly inquiry as one of the cornerstones of the University. In its various initiatives, the Office seeks to nurture the research, creative, and service efforts of the University community of scholars in order to enhance the curriculum, extend the body of knowledge, serve the region, and become the third publicly supported major research university in North Carolina.
